This is a fantastic opportunity for a Software Developer to join a leading cloud solutions and managed services business based in the North East.

As a developer you will be passionate about cloud technology and have proven experience of technical project delivery and working as part of a team. Though your role will primarily be that of developer, you will also contribute to the planning of projects, working both externally with customers and internally with business development and project management teams to capture requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.

Role Duties & Expectations

  • Your primary role is to be a developer for project delivery, working as part of a project team or individually, both onsite and remotely on clients’ premises.
  • You will be delivering Office365/SharePoint/Azure based solutions, working with C#, TypeScript, React, CSS, HTML, Blazor, SPFx and related programming languages and frameworks as part of solution development.
  • You will demonstrate strong communication skills and customer-facing experience to support technical delivery.
  • As part of the project team, you will liaise with business and technical audiences.
  • You will assist the operations teams with building project plans and developing test plans as well as ensuring that relevant project documentation is completed.
  • Depending on the project and team engagement, you will assist with the full solution delivery lifecycle from design, build and configuration, to testing, training, adoption and handover.
  • You will be expected to define and deliver user training and workshops to support successful adoption.
  • You will help our team support existing solutions across our client base.
  • Working with our business development team, you will assist with building and delivering technical pre-sales demonstrations as well as building project scope and design.
  • Assist the team with marketing events and seminars with presentations and technical demonstrations where required.
     

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree (or higher qualification) in Computer Science or a related field is typical but not essential for the role
  • At least 3 years professional development experience
  • Experience working with C# and .NET web technologies in a commercial environment (Blazor, MVC)
  • Experience with integrating APIs
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Azure elements (e.g. Azure Service Buss, Azure Functions, Azure SQL)
  • Experience with TypeScript/React solutions
  • Experience gathering requirements with clients and writing technical and functional specifications
  • You will demonstrate strong communication skills and customer-facing experience to support technical delivery
     

Beneficial experience, skills and background for the role (but not required):

  • Experience of working with SharePoint Online as a platform
  • Experience of developing SharePoint SPFX applications
  • Experience working with the Microsoft Graph SDKs/Endpoints
  • Experience of source code management techniques
  • Knowledge of OAuth, Azure Active Directory, MSAL/ADAL libraries beneficial
  • Experience of using Azure DevOps for CI/CD
