We’re looking for a consultant who’s as comfortable solving complex technical challenges as they are guiding clients through digital transformation. 

This hybrid role blends deep technical delivery with strategic client engagement. You’ll lead cloud, hybrid and on-premises migration projects, provide expert support across desktop, server, and cloud platforms, and act as a trusted advisor to clients navigating change. 
 

 What You’ll Do 

• Lead Technical Projects: Deliver Microsoft 365, Networks and on-premises migrations, hybrid deployments and installations 

• Provide Expert Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues across desktop, server, cloud, and virtualised environments (Hyper-V, VMware) 

• Be Client-Facing: Act as a trusted advisor, offering strategic guidance and clear communication to stakeholders at all levels 

• Ensure Service Excellence: Conduct proactive service checks, manage SLAs, and maintain accurate documentation 

• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with vendors, internal teams, and client stakeholders to resolve multi-party technical issues 

• Stay Agile: Participate in scheduled maintenance, incident response, and occasional 24/7 on-call support 
   
   

What You Bring 

Experience & Communication 

• 2–3+ years in technical consulting, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for clients 

• Proven ability to recommend technical solutions in response to client requirements, aligning with business needs and industry best practices 
   
   

Frameworks & Standards 

• Familiarity with ITIL principles and the commercial aspects of service delivery. 

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including awareness of standards such as: 

• Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus  

• ISO 27001  

• NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0 

• Awareness of data protection standards and the ability to align technical implementations accordingly 
   
   

Technical Expertise 

• Windows Server: Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Hyper-V 

• Microsoft 365: Exchange Online, Teams, Entra ID, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office, Intune, Windows Update for Business 

• Microsoft Exchange Server: Hybrid deployments and management 

• Networking: VLAN, LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewalls, NAT, Layer 3 Switching 

• Virtualisation: Hyper-V or VMware 

• Backup Technologies: Cloud and on-premises solutions, with a strong grasp of best practices 

• Endpoint Protection: Including XDR (Extended Detection and Response) and MDR (Managed Detection and Response) technologies 
   
   

Bonus Skills 

• Experience with Windows 365 or Azure Virtual Desktop 

• Basic SQL troubleshooting and maintenance 

• Understanding of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 

• Knowledge of Linux operating systems 

• Relevant certifications such as: 

• MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator) 

• AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) 

• SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator) 

• SC-400 (Information Protection Administrator) 

• ITIL Standards
