Project Manager
Overview
We are seeking a talented Project Manager to join our expanding team. You will be an enthusiastic, driven individual and self-starter able to work independently and within a collaborative team; managing projects delivering high-quality creative solutions that engage and inspire our customers. Good communication and written skills are essential as is the ability to prioritise and manage your workload in a methodical manner in order to meet customer deadlines. Experience project managing application development is desired and this role will span our three core teams, Cloud Applications, Business System (ERP) and Managed Services.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
- Lead project kick-off meetings and communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders
- Execute project plans, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful project completion
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and potential risks
- Facilitate effective communication between team members, ensuring collaboration and alignment on project objectives
Resource Management:
- Co-ordinate with department heads to allocate resources effectively, ensuring that team members have the necessary tools and support to meet project goals
- Identify and resolve resource constraints to maintain project momentum
Risk Management:
- Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Implement risk management plans to address potential issues that may impact project success
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and enforce project standards and best practices
- Conduct regular contract reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards and project specification
Education / Training:
- Relevant Project Management Professional qualification
- Awareness of Prince2, Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in application project management
- Demonstrable experience of managing successful projects
- Strong ability to influence and negotiate
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Agility and flexibility
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- The ability to handle multiple projects at once
- Commercial awareness
